The Hobart Bowls Centre was officially opened by the Mayor of Glenorchy Mr Terry Martin on 26th May 2001.

The Green has six rinks of the world renowned Greengauge surface which makes for enjoyable bowling for the beginners to the “experts”.

There is a large lounge area overlooking the green with a licensed bar for bowlers and spectators to enjoy the normal festivities which go with the game of Lawn Bowls.

The Centre also has Tasmania’s only specialty Bowls Shop stocking all brands of Bowls along with bags, clothing, shoes and all accessories.

During the winter months there are competitions that cater for all Bowlers needs including daytime and evening rosters, random draw social bowls and special events.

You can also hire a rink for your own use or even book the Centre for a group to enjoy a bowling day or night out.

The Centre is also home of the Hobart Indoor Bowls Club which field teams in the Bowls Tasmania South competitions during the summer months.

We welcome visitors and locals to come, have a bowl or just browse and enjoy this great facility.
